For more than 25 years, Ron Weismiller has been a regional and
national leader in the lending arena and his expertise is now
available through his new company, Williamsburg Mortgage, Inc. WMI
specializes in tailoring mortgage loans to the needs of its clients
and is aligned with numerous national lenders. The company offers
solutions for a variety of credit situations and makes available
residential, construction and commercial loans with competitive
terms and rates.
Few in the mortgage industry
bring as much practical experience to the table as Ron. He served
as Senior Vice President of Weaver Bros., Inc. with offices in the
Tidewater area for more than 20 years. After the sale of Weaver
Bros., to Banc One, Ron went on to form Citizens Bank of Maryland
Mortgage Company and then served as its president until it merged
with Crestar Bank. He then moved on to become Mid-Atlantic Manager
for Bank of America, which ended with a merger with NationsBank.
During his distinguished career,
Ron has served on the Mortgage Bankers of America Board for eight
years, was named an original trustee of the Appraisal Foundation,
formed by Congress to set Standards and Qualifications for
Appraising, and was instrumental in developing the movie “Mortgage
Banking Touching Every Life.”
Ron came home to Williamsburg
from Chevy Chase, Md., after deciding to fulfill a desire to return
to his family roots. He is descended maternally from the Diggs
family, Yorktown’s original settlers.
In addition to his mortgage
banking responsibilities, Ron serves as treasurer of Williamsburg
